MY STORY

I earned a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University in 2018. After graduating, I spent two years working in an outpatient therapy setting at Community Health Resources (CHR) in Manchester CT. There I gained experience working with a diverse population of clients with a variety of mental health needs.

In response to COVID-19, I made the exciting decision to create Beechwood Therapy LLC, a practice that offers remote therapy services during the current pandemic.

I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community surrounding issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation. I have formed and facilitated multiple LGBTQ+ groups focused on improving emotional well being. In addition to LGBTQ+ clients, I am skilled in working with clients who struggle with ADHD, anxiety, and depression amongst other mental health issues.

While my approach to counseling is unique to each client’s needs, I generally incorporate many positive psychology principles. Rather than focusing solely on areas of weakness and unhappiness, I help clients maximize their strengths and make changes to improve their current quality of life.
